MARSEILLE DESTINATION

With its terracotta-roofed buildings the colour of cracked wheat, ripened apricot and blanched almond scattered around the mistral-whipped sea, Marseille is infused with a perceptible and irrepressible energy.
This gritty, grimy and gloriously real city – France’s oldest, and largest after Paris – isn’t gentrified like its Provençal counterparts. But its rough-and-tumble edginess, wailing sirens and litter-swirled streets, and its coastal corniches, chicaning around rocky inlets, coves and sun-baked beaches, are chock-a-block with treasures.

With titles such as “Listed resort”, “Town of Outstanding Taste” and one of the “Most Beautiful Villages in France”, Les Baux de Provence is continuing to strengthen its image as a prestige location within the Alpilles regional country park. The village of Les Baux de Provence is unique because it has a slightly more magical atmosphere and is slightly more famous than other places. Yet the essence that gives Provençal villages their very special charm and scent can also be found here – small squares, shady pavement cafés, narrow streets and shops.

Olive Oil tasting at Moulin de Castelas
Olive oils have a very rich palette of aromas and tastes. These are influenced by terroir, climate, the olive varieties used, and how healthy and ripe the fruit are. At Castelas Mill, all of our oils undergo cold extraction. From harvest to harvest, our passion for flavour and our know-how have led us to produce olive oils of highly distinctive.

Town of water, town of art… Everyone knows that Aix was built and has developed around this dual identity.
But the town also knows how to blend different eras and culture. Open to the world, it is a city of human dimension where the preserved heritage and the city of tomorrow blend perfectly.
Here, all is colour and sensation: the light of the sky, the golden stone of the facades, the transparent green of the fountains, the shade of the plane trees, surprises held by the festival nights…
Aix en Provence gives you a warm welcome.
